Made is organic cotton, the Sightseer Baby Carrier features the same iconic proprietary fabrics Petunia is known for combined with a signature Petunia stitch detail.  This stunning Baby Carrier in printed organic cotton is the epitome of function and fashion. Slipping on like a t-shirt and snapping in place with a few simple buckles, it is machine washable, comfortable and easy to use. 

Made from Earth friendly recycled nylon, the Tour Guide Baby Carrier completes the collection. The only carrier of its kind, the machine washable Tour Guide is made from recycled materials, including a recycled polyester shell (PET), and a recycled nylon liner.

“This project has been a 2 year labor of love. We were very excited to launch our collection of Carriers, as it seemed a natural progression and complement to our collections of diaper bags,” says Korie Conant, co-founder and Chief Marketing Officer.

The Heirloom by Petunia fabric is a showcase of Petunia’s most adored and iconic patterns, woven into one from the past ten years. Not only are the products superior to anything I’ve tried in a long time, all of their product boxes are made using what they call a “Zero Waste” process with 100% post-consumer paper and organic seeds like sweet basil and amaranth. All you need to do is slip off the label, soak the packaging in water for a minute and plant it in the earth. Next thing you know, sweet basil will pop up for use at your next meal.

Based in our hometown of Ventura, Patagonia has set the ultimate example for responsible manufacturing, conservation and environmentalism. Among many other things, they have given over $20 million in environmental grants, give employees paid leave for activism and believe in using business to inspire solutions to environmental crisis. They have a great selection of winter gear for sports enthusiast of any age and feature garments made of e-fibers (environmentally friendlier fibers), hemp and recycled and recyclable polyester.

The folks over at Bee Raw liken the work they do with honey to that of fine wine vintners—and I tend to believe them. Some reports say the world is facing a honey bee crisis, and my brother, a bee keeper by hobby, is always on me to spread the word that every American has a responsibility to “keep bees” as a result of the alarming dip in the bee population. Thankfully, Bee Raw Honey takes bee keeping seriously and it shows in everything they do. As both parents and design enthusiasts who had their fill of assembling products with excessive amounts of screws than they could bear, the people at Celery conceived a line of nursery furniture that involves no hardware, is made from sustainable wood, 100% recycled formaldehyde-free fiberboard and zero to low VOC finishes. The best part…their furniture is designed and fabricated in Montana (one of the most beautiful states in the country IMO) by local craftspeople.
